USDA projects net farm income to rise 8.1% to $69.4 billion in 2019, recovering only part of the 17.8% drop in 2018. Soybean cash receipts are expected to fall $2.6 billion on lower prices and sales volume, while corn, wheat and other crop receipts are forecast to rise.
Higher expected corn receipts reflect firmer prices, while the projected soybean revenue decline signals weaker soy demand and pricing expectations for the 2019 crop.
