USDA's June WASDE cut its 2019/20 US corn production forecast by 1.4 billion bushels to 13.7 billion, the lowest since 2015/16, citing unprecedented planting delays. It raised the season average corn price to $3.80, soybeans to $8.25, and soybean meal to $295 per ton.
A sharply smaller corn crop and higher season-average feed prices raise feed grain and meal costs for animal-feed buyers.
