USDA's April milk production data showed 17.4 billion pounds from the 23 major states, up 0.3% year on year, with 8.71 million cows. The Southeast uniform milk price was $18.70 for April, and the Class III price was $15.96.
Production that is only slightly higher and a lower cow count leave the milk supply broadly steady, so prices are not moving much on this data alone.
