The American Soybean Association said it is disappointed by the Commerce Department's preliminary decision to significantly reduce countervailing duties on Argentine biodiesel. Antidumping rates would stay the same under the decision announced July 2.
Reduced duties on subsidized biodiesel imports could displace domestic biodiesel and reduce soybean oil demand in the US.
