Commodity Weather Group expects less than half of normal rain across much of the Midwest over the next 10 days, with temperatures topping 100F in parts of Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa. Crop stress is expected in about half of the southwestern Midwest, mainly risking early-pollinating corn that was planted late.
Heat and drought during pollination on late-planted corn threaten yield, tightening feed grain supplies and supporting corn and soybean prices.
