The Pro Farmer Crop Tour estimated US corn yield at 163.3 bu/ac, 3.7% below the USDA's 169.5 bu/ac, and soybean yield at 46.1 bu/ac, 4.9% below USDA's 48.5. Total corn production was put at 13.358 billion bushels and soybeans at 3.497 billion bushels.
Scouts reported corn maturity up to three weeks behind average in the eastern Corn Belt.
