China's central bank cut the required reserve ratio for all banks by 0.5 percentage points, releasing 900 billion yuan of liquidity effective September 16. It also cut ratios for some city commercial banks in two steps.
Injecting liquidity supports Chinese credit and economic demand, which can marginally support Chinese feed and meat demand, though the effect on grain prices is indirect.
