An independent arbitrator is reportedly weeks away from ending a more than five-year dispute between Arc Infrastructure and CBH over grain access to the rail network in Western Australia. CBH has been carting grain under two interim agreements while the arbitration continues.
Farmers say the delay has stalled investment and the rollout of CBH's $750 million network strategy.
A resolution would improve rail capacity for WA grain exports, but the effect on prices is limited to regional logistics and basis rather than global supply.
