Statistics Canada data showed Canada's 2019/20 canola crop fell by over 700,000 tonnes to its smallest in four years. About 810,000 hectares of canola remained buried under snow, and corn was left unharvested in many fields.
A smaller Canadian canola crop reduces exportable supply and supports canola meal and oil prices, though the China ban limits the price effect.
