USDA's December WASDE made no changes to US corn and soybean ending stocks, while US wheat ending stocks dropped below pre-report estimates. USDA also reduced its average farmgate price, and analysts said January's report will bring more clarity on production.
Tighter US wheat supplies are supportive for wheat prices, while the lower farmgate price tempers the outlook for grain values. Corn and soybean balance sheets are unchanged pending January data.
