Grain export 2019/20: staple grains shipment revised upward

Ukrainian seaports shipped 26.3 million tonnes of staple grains in the 2019/20 season through December 10, up 6.32 million tonnes year on year. Wheat accounted for 13.82 million tonnes and corn for 8.59 million tonnes.

Weekly shipments in the week of Nov. 30 to Dec.

6 rose 50% from the prior week.

Strong Ukrainian export flows add supply to Black Sea wheat and corn markets, adding pressure on world prices and competing with US and Brazilian corn sales.
