Chicago soybeans extended gains on Thursday, with the March contract up 7.5 cents and soymeal up $0.90 to $304.80 per short ton. Traders expected soybean export sales of 375,000 to 1.2 million tons for the week ending February 12.
USDA's Agricultural Outlook Forum put 2026 soybean plantings at 85 million acres.
Export sales expectations and the USDA's projected 2026 soybean area point to a comfortable supply outlook, which caps upside. Strong export demand could still extend the rally in the near term.
