USDA data show November US broiler production rose 4.2% on an adjusted basis, with slaughter and live weights both increasing. The 2020 US broiler production forecast was raised to 45.4 billion pounds, almost 4% above 2019.
Larger broiler supplies and higher cold storage stocks are expected to keep whole bird prices about 3% lower in 2020, which weakens chicken prices and feed demand.
