Oil fell as much as 30% after Saudi Arabia cut its official crude selling price and planned a large production increase following Russia's refusal to support output cuts. Currencies of Latin American oil exporters were hit, with Mexico's peso having its worst day in 3.5 years and Colombia's peso hitting a record low.
Brazil's Bovespa fell 10% and triggered a trading halt.
The oil collapse weakens export-linked currencies and pressures the cost of energy and diesel for feed logistics. Lower crude also reduces biofuel demand for vegetable oils, which supports lower prices across the feed complex.
