Euronext wheat closed 0.3% higher at 190.25 euros per metric ton on Friday, tracking a slight gain in Chicago as traders awaited U.S.-China talks. Reports of Chinese inquiries for imported European and Argentine wheat circulated, but traders said actual buying was still needed.
A Russian 11.5% protein cargo was the cheapest offer at $248 per ton, with French, Ukrainian and Romanian wheat close behind.
