Ukraine has supplied 40.87 million tonnes of staple grains to foreign markets in the 2019/20 season as of March 2, up 7.79 million tonnes year on year. Corn leads with 19.78 million tonnes, followed by wheat at 16.56 million tonnes and barley at 4.04 million tonnes.
Heavy Ukrainian corn exports add supply to world markets and weigh mildly on corn prices, while the wheat and barley shipments also add competition. The figures are cumulative and mostly reflect known flows.
