Global Canopy and SEI launched the Trase Yearbook 2020, which maps the companies, regions and supply chains driving tropical deforestation in beef, soy and palm oil. It says over half of soy-linked deforestation is concentrated in a few hotspots and companies.
Identifying concentrated deforestation hotspots may lead buyers to target specific beef, soy and palm origins, influencing sourcing decisions for feed ingredients.
