A Congressional Research Service report outlines the FY2021 Agriculture appropriations bill, which funds USDA, FDA and related programs. It notes the House passed a minibus with agriculture appropriations on July 24, 2020, and that the Senate released a draft later.
The report summarizes the bill's main discretionary spending items.
Appropriations levels affect USDA program funding and trade promotion but have little direct effect on commodity prices in the near term.
