Oil prices finish higher as OPEC+ stresses full compliance with output quotas

OPEC+ said at its monthly joint committee meeting that it would stress full compliance with output cuts and recommend extending its overproduction compensation mechanism until the end of December. WTI settled up 2% at $40.97 and Brent rose 2.6% to $43.30 on September 17.
