USDA NASS pegged the July 2020 US all-milk price at $20.50 per cwt, up $2.40 from June, and the July Dairy Margin Coverage margin at $12.41. State all-milk prices spread unusually widely, from $8 to $9 between the highest and lowest states.
A higher all-milk price lifts DMC margins and farm income, but the wide regional spread shows uneven pricing that affects feed buying power by region.
