USDA's September WASDE cut 2020 corn production 378 million bushels to 14.9 billion on lower yield and harvested area, while soybean production fell 112 million bushels to 4.3 billion on a 51.9 bpa yield. Corn ethanol use was cut 100 million bushels on weak gasoline demand, and corn exports were raised 100 million bushels; soybean ending stocks fell 150 million bushels to 460 million.
Lower corn and soybean supplies and reduced ending stocks tighten feed grain and soybean meal availability, supporting prices, while higher corn exports add demand.
