French soft wheat exports to non-EU countries in September fell to 166,000 tonnes, the smallest monthly volume since 2009/10 when tracking began. Algeria received no shipments, and FranceAgriMer cut its 2020/21 non-EU soft wheat export forecast to about 6.6 million tonnes from a record 13.5 million last season.
Reduced French export availability removes supply from world wheat markets and supports prices as importers turn to other origins.
