Chinese spot corn prices have surged past 2,600 CNY/ton, a four-year high, after typhoons damaged northeast new-season corn and slowed harvesting. Lysine and threonine producers including Wanli Runda, Yipin Bio and Fufeng raised quotations by about 0.1-0.2 yuan/kg in the days around October 20-21.
Higher corn costs push up feed-amino acid prices and tighten domestic feed input margins, supporting corn and lysine pricing in China.
