Brazil's real fell as much as 0.6% on November 11, 2020, after September retail sales rose less than expected. Mexico's peso fell 0.8% after industrial output was flat in September, while the dollar gained on safe-haven demand as coronavirus cases rose.
A weaker real and peso make Brazilian and Mexican exports more competitive and can lower the dollar cost of Brazilian soybean and meal supplies. The effect on U.S. feed prices is modest because the moves were small and partly reversed.
