National Flour Mills in Trinidad and Tobago said feed supply shortages should normalize within two weeks. Shortages stem from Chinese demand that has strained loading capacity at supplier ports, delaying corn and soybean meal shipments by three to four weeks.
Port congestion and Chinese-driven demand are delaying feed grain and meal shipments to Caribbean buyers and raising local costs, though the company expects raw materials to arrive in early January.
