Russia briefly blocked the Kerch Strait, the channel between the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, after tensions with Ukraine flared. The passage has since reopened, but some traders are expected to reroute cargoes.
Even a short blockade raises freight and delivery risk for Black Sea wheat and corn, which supports export prices and shows how exposed supply is to chokepoints.
