The Federal Reserve published its H.10 weekly foreign exchange rates release dated January 4, 2021, listing currency units per US dollar for late December 2020 and early January 2021. The table covers major and emerging-market currencies including the Brazilian real, Canadian dollar, Chinese yuan, euro, Mexican peso and South African rand.
Moves in the dollar and in currencies such as the BRL, MXN and CNY change the local-currency cost of imported feed grains and affect export competitiveness, which feeds into commodity prices.
