EU soybean meal imports have continued to decline since the start of the 2020-21 marketing year in July. Raw soybean purchases rose 4.5% on the year to 7.78 million tonnes, with the Netherlands, Spain and Denmark the top importers.
Lower EU meal imports reflect tight South American supplies, which supports global soymeal prices and makes European feed costs more expensive.
