Soybeans and corn closed sharply higher on January 12, with soybeans above 14 dollars and corn at limit-up above 5 dollars after USDA cut 2020 corn production and ending stocks. USDA also raised soybean meal exports and soybean oil for biofuel use, and Unknown destinations bought 120,000 tons of U.S. soybeans.
Lower corn and soybean stocks plus higher meal export demand support feed ingredient prices. Continued export buying signals firm demand that supports the price trend.
