Western Canadian oat prices have held firm, with high-delivered bids at $3.60 to $4.35 per bushel, but have seen little movement recently. AAFC forecasts 2021-22 oat acreage down 11% to 3.46 million acres and production down 16% to 3.9 million tonnes.
A forecast 16% drop in Canadian oat output tightens feed grain supplies, which could support oat and competing feed grain prices into spring.
