Hog futures on Dalian spiked on Monday to their highest since the contract debuted a month earlier, rising 4-6% as funds priced in reports of new ASF cases in northern China. Corn and soymeal futures fell about 1% as traders expected producers to raise output.
Expected herd rebuilding and output increases after ASF scares suggest higher future feed demand for corn and soymeal, though near-term Dalian grain futures traded lower.
