Canada has sold out of canola roughly six months before the next harvest after prices hit a near 13-year high. Exports are up about 33% and China more than doubled its purchases in December, though restrictions on two exporters remain.
Limited remaining Canadian supply and strong demand for oil and meal keep canola and meal prices firm, and an upcoming Statistics Canada estimate could move prices.
