Asian emerging-market currencies fell against a firmer dollar on March 30 after US 10-year Treasury yields hit a 14-month high. Indonesian and Philippine stocks dropped about 1%, while FTSE Russell confirmed Chinese bonds would join its index.
Rising US yields and a stronger dollar tend to weigh on dollar-priced commodities and raise the cost of imported feed for emerging Asian buyers.
