The U.S. Grains Council is running feeding trials in Kenya with Unga Farm Care, replacing up to 50% of corn in layer rations and 100% in broiler rations with U.S. sorghum. A 60 MT shipment went to the Port of Mombasa.
Successful trials could open a new export market for U.S. sorghum in East Africa, but the volumes are small and the effect on prices is limited in the near term.
