Organic soybean prices ranged from $22 to $29 per bushel in March, and organic soybean meal was quoted near $1,300 per short ton. US organic soybean meal imports rose 73% over the first seven months of the marketing year, while domestic supplies were up about 16% from 2020.
Record organic meal imports and high prices reflect a niche market disconnect, with the US ending its equivalency agreement with India possibly prompting stockpiling; this has limited effect on conventional feed prices.
