The Prairie Oat Growers Association reports Canadian oat exports to Mexico and Japan are rising and on pace for record levels. Exports to Mexico reached 220,000 tonnes through last November, and Canadian oats held about 90% of the Mexican oat market in 2019.
Strong export demand for Canadian oats supports Prairie oat prices and tightens exportable supply for feed buyers.
