Indonesia set its April 2021 crude palm oil reference price at US$1,093.83 per tonne, up 5.56% from March. The export duty for April was raised to US$116 per tonne from US$93, and cocoa bean reference prices also rose.
A higher reference price and duty raise Indonesian export costs, supporting palm oil prices and encouraging buyers to shift toward Malaysian supply.
