The EIA weekly retail diesel price rose to $3.142 a gallon, up 1.8 cents, marking the first increase in six weeks. CME ULSD settled at $1.9519 a gallon, up 2.95 cents on the day, and wholesale diesel was rising faster than retail.
Rising wholesale diesel signals that retail diesel and freight costs will keep climbing. This adds pressure on feed transport costs.
