The rupiah weakened 0.65% to Rp14,330 per dollar in Jakarta morning trade after the Fed brought forward its projected rate increase to 2023. The Fed also raised its 2021 inflation forecast to 3.1%.
The dollar index rose to 91.339 and the 10-year Treasury yield was 1.57%.
An earlier Fed tightening path strengthens the dollar and raises import costs for Indonesian feed buyers, adding pressure on dollar-priced commodities.
