Singapore-listed palm oil companies reported stronger first-half revenue and profits on higher crude palm oil prices and firm demand. Malaysian July output fell 16% year on year to a four-month low, and year-to-date palm oil futures are up 54%.
Output declines in Malaysia and Indonesia from drier weather and labour shortages keep palm supply tight and support prices across vegetable oils.
