China's soybean imports from Brazil fell 3.7% year on year in July, and total soybean imports from all origins fell 14.1%. Weaker crush margins and falling hog prices have reduced livestock demand for soymeal.
USDA also cut its 2020/21 and 2021/22 US soybean export forecasts.
Lower Chinese soybean and soymeal demand weighs on global soy and meal prices, especially with China's crushers cutting back on purchases.
