A USDA Foreign Agricultural Service report says Indian wheat and rice exports are at multi-year highs, with record rice exports forecast for 2020/21. Tighter supplies from competitors and export restrictions elsewhere have made Indian grain price competitive.
Strong Indian export availability and competitive pricing add supply to global rice and wheat markets, which weighs on export prices for competing origins.
