Ukrainian seaports shipped 6.3 million tonnes of grain in August 2021, nearly double July's volume. Wheat shipments rose 3.5 times to 4.2 million tonnes, while corn fell to 0.38 million tonnes and barley rose to 1.8 million tonnes.
Faster Black Sea wheat and barley exports add supply to world markets, which weighs mildly on wheat and barley prices. Corn shipments were light, so they have little price effect.
