Futures anticipate higher diesel demand from gas-to-diesel fuel switching, a colder winter, and recovering jet fuel demand, and options markets are betting on $100 crude.
A tight distillate and crude outlook raises energy costs that feed out into fuel, transport, and fertilizer production. Stronger crude and diesel generally support higher input costs for feed producers.
