Mexico: Front line of the global food war

POLITICO reports that Mexico has become the main battleground between its push to protect native corn and US efforts to counter the movement against GM food and agrichemicals. President López Obrador has pledged to phase out GM corn and glyphosate by 2024.

Mexico is among the world's largest corn importers and buys mostly US GM corn.
