Oil extends rally on Kazakhstan unrest and Libyan outages

Brent rose $1.19 to settle at $81.99 a barrel on January 6, 2022, and WTI gained to $79.46, after unrest in Kazakhstan and Libyan outages extended the rally. Brent hit its highest level since late November.

重要性

Supply disruptions in Kazakhstan and Libya add to tight crude balances, raising diesel and energy costs for feed producers. The effect is moderate given the scale of the outages.
