ADM Agriculture's fertiliser head said global fertiliser markets have moved sharply higher after the Russia-Ukraine situation. Russia is the world's top exporter of ammonium nitrate, UAN, ammonia and urea, and European and UK natural gas prices rose over 30%.
Russia's dominant position in nitrogen exports and the gas-price spike feeding European production point to further upward pressure on fertilizer costs. Higher input costs will push feed and grain prices up.
