India's soymeal exports fell 64% in October-January compared with a year earlier, according to the SOPA trade body. Soybean crushing and meal output dropped about 40% as farmers held back beans expecting higher prices, while domestic feed-sector offtake fell 5%.
India's reduced export availability and crushing lower the regional supply of soymeal, which supports international meal prices, though weaker domestic feed demand offsets part of the effect.
