India's Union Cabinet approved higher subsidies on non-urea fertilizers for the upcoming Kharif season, totaling ₹60,939 crore. The subsidy on DAP rises to ₹2,501 per bag from ₹1,650, while global DAP and raw material prices have risen about 80%.
The subsidy keeps Indian DAP demand supported despite high import costs, sustaining global phosphate purchasing interest and firm phosphate price levels.
