The EIA projects U.S. dry gas production will rise to 97.41 bcfd in 2022 from a record 93.57 bcfd in 2021. Domestic gas consumption is also expected to grow to 84.11 bcfd.
Rising production roughly matches rising demand, which limits upside for domestic gas prices and therefore moderates fertilizer cost pressure.
